People continue to speak out about a food shortage coming very soon, maybe this fall. Whatever! Right? Well I heard and read about a situation that a lot of folks don’t know or don’t believe, don’t understand. Urea is a key fertilizer used throughout the world especially agricultural production, India is number 1 in production but they use most of it themselves, then comes our buddies Russia and China. Everyone knows that inventory is short, prices are elevated extremely high thus causing food production costs to escalate, and DEF production (DEF is 1/3 urea) is being reduced. Significance of low DEF inventory you might ask? Newer diesel engines run with this additive and the engines are made to have to have DEF to run, and just how many 18 wheel vehicles would be effected if DEF is hard to obtain? Complete chaos within the transportation world causing massive shortages of all kinds and panic. Take action – plant something for a food source, pot size or greenhouse size, doesn’t matter just do something – its time.
