Weeds and insects are here to stay and one had better put on your game face or bring your A Game to your garden, raised seed beds, greenhouse, small acres, or large acres. For the weed category check out the options on www.allstatesorganicsupply.com. For the insect category we have seen a large outbreak of Euxoa Auxiliars/Army Cutworm Moths and Peridroma saucia/Variegated Cutworm Moths. They are doing their thing in the cycle of surviving by laying egg masses now and within a short period of time these eggs hatch into first larval instar, which there are four stages, into a 25 hour, 8 days a week, plant eating machine cutworm. They will do this cycle from three to six times a year depending upon conditions. This observation has been posted before, once insects inflect structural damage on a plant, that opens the door for diseases to enter in.
